Teacher of the Year

St. Francis of Assisi High recognises and honours outstanding teachers on an annual basis. All teachers, students, and non-teaching staff of St. Francis of Assisi High School are eligible for participating in the nomination of a teacher to compete for the Teacher of the Year recognition.

The teacher who is nominated for recognition as a “Teacher of the year” should:

  •  Have a superior ability to inspire students in learning.
  • Be an exceptionally dedicated classroom teacher
  • Be creative and innovative in teaching
  • Be exemplary in behaviour both in and outside school
  • Have the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues
  • Play an active role in the school as well as the community

The Techer of the Year is recognised by the school community at the School Day celebration which takes place on the school’s patron saint’s feast day – 4th October.
